DigiLocker is a Digital Locker for anyone that holds an Aadhaar card. Indian citizens who sign up for a DigiLocker account get a dedicated cloud storage space that is linked to their Aadhaar number. In this storage space, users can scan and upload their documents and make them authentic via Digital Signature or eSign. Additionally, organizations (Govt or private) that are registered with DigiLocker can issue or push electronic copies of documents and certificates (e.g. driving license, Voter ID, School certificates) directly on DigiLocker’s Repository. Residents can directly get these issued documents from Repository to their Lockers(cloud storage) on DigiLocker.

How it works

The user signs in with their User Name/ Mobile / Aadhar Number, verifying it with Password. Also granting consent to share information.

User verifies sign in with a OTP sent to Registered Mobile Number (RMN) with Aadhaar.

User selects the Document to share from the Documents present on their DigiLocker Account

After sharing the Aadhaar Card details, the user must now grant consent to the app/service to view their Information for the sole purpose of Authentication.
